Hey y'all, I’m Ashley! What began as a hobby and love for the camera, soon became Southern Oaks & Co: a small business capturing the beauty of God’s creation and His people. My very favorite part of my job is that I get to use my gifts to capture the beautiful moments that are created on Wedding Days! This job truly sets my heart on fire.
Here's a little bit about me, outside of the camera:
I am a stay-at-home mom and picked up my camera to start Southern Oaks & Co. during my pregnancy with my daughter, Hadley! Zachary, my husband, has always been very supportive of my passion for photography. He is former active duty and is now currently serving in the United States Army Reserves and also works as a corrections officer. He is just the BEST husband and father! (Although, I may be biased)
When I don't have the camera in my hand, you can probably find me: driving through the countryside, listening to music, and spending time with my husband and daughter! I'm a lover of all things Chinese food, animals, and Jesus. (Of course, you can add photography to that list!)
One of my favorite aspects of couples photography is capturing the love & connection between couples. On wedding days I'm reminded that I truly have THE BEST job in the world!
